simple, inexpensive and very useful
It's not complicated, and truthfully, you can use a bowl or plate to accomplish the same task. However, this really makes a difference in reducing the mess from food "explosions". By leaving it stored in the microwave, everyone uses it which almost never happened before. It fits perfectly on the glass turntable; cleans easily or throw it into the dishwasher.

Best Microwave Plate cover
This is an excellent product. Very durable. Made of a thick plastic, not thin and flexible like most of it's competition. Great size for the average dinner plate. Have not been able to find a plate cover of equal quality for years.
