12 May 2009 Best coffee chopper I've owned Great coffee chopper (no burrs so I won't call it a grinder.) The main difference between this and the other I've owned is that the chopped coffee doesn't get hot. In most others the coffee at the bottom of the chamber gets cooked by the friction of the blades. Cooked coffee means less flavor in the cup.
I won't give up my burr grinder for this, but its very good for the office or when I am too lazy to clean out my burr grinder. –D. Kikuchifrom Amazon.com
26 Apr 2009 Bif Boswell Terrible product; it has to be constantly shaken to obtain anything approaching a complete grind; usually I give up. We bought this to replace a Mr. Coffee grinder that broke after 10+ years of constant use. The first time I used the Bodum grinder I knew it was almost useless. It's stylish though. 16 Apr 2009 Great blade coffee grinder till it wouldn't turn off Good strong motor, but after two weeks of everyday use the grinder stayed on after releasing the button in the cap. It never would turn off again.
Also a word to the wise. Buy a good burr grinder if you want your coffee to be consistently good. Overall blade grinders just don't give you a consistent grind. –Baruch D. Kastenbaumfrom Amazon.com
