11 May 2009 Stopped working after a few weeks So annoying because I also had a Cuisinart coffee maker quit on me after a few months too. I know I should box it up and return it for a new one, but we had to get another grinder, we're your typical addicts and couldn't wait, so this broken one sits on our counter awaiting disposal I guess. 07 May 2009 I've had two - I won't have a third. I purchased this for two reasons: 1) the removable bowl and 2) the Cuisinart name (I've owned the same DLC-7 for more than twenty years without a problem). Turns out they weren't good enough reasons.

I wanted a grinder that could be used for both coffee and spices so I didn't have to have two appliances on my counter. I'd had one of the "regular" coffee grinders that I'd been using for both; but because the bowl was integral to the motor housing cleaning when changing between them was a... –Just a guyfrom Amazon.com
18 Apr 2009 Pleased with my grinder I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews on this model. I have not had a problem with mine. I've had this model close to two years. Although I don't grind coffee often, I have done so with different seeds and even almonds. I usually grind my almonds into a fine meal and not once has the grinder overheated. It's a simple, sleek and attractive design. Cleanup is no nonsense. The funny thing is, I bought mine refurbished (and saved a pretty penny). I thought Amazon made a mistake and s... –S.
