Poor quality and terrible customer service - regretting this purchase!
I'm not sure if this is exactly the one I bought - but it is similar. I also bought the Gaggia espresso machine. The grinder worked fine for the first 10 months or so. Then it started smoking one day and stopped working. The warranty clearly states that the product has a 2yr warranty and instructed me to send it to Gaggia repair center, which I did. They sent it back saying they do not repair grinders. Then Gaggia Milan told me the product only has a 1 year warranty and therefore it was no longe...

do NOT attempt to use for espresso coffee
OK for drip and coarser functions, but due to the cheapness of the burr holders and excessive vibration, it cannot maintain the consistent coffee particle size needed for espresso. for that you would at least need the Gaggia MDF espresso grinder. -- The GRINDER is IMO, MORE important than the machine!

A decent Burr Grinder, but there are cheaper ones
Ok, the good things first. This grinder is easy to use, powerful, easy to clean, and I have had no problem grinding coffees from turkish to french press (you often don't get the full range of grinds on some burr coffee grinders). It also doesn't heat up too much.
Now the bad news. It's really, really loud. I ended up sound proofing mine because I didn't want to wake people up in the morning. Second the grind button must be held down during the entire grinding process (their is no tim...
