Dishwasher Disaster
I was initially quite impressed with this unit. Since I have experience using commercial deep fryers, I recognized the nice features built into this unit. 1800 watts of heating power will bring the oil up to temperature in about 15 minutes, and should be big enough to recover quickly after you slowly drop a basket of raw material into the oil. That, however, was not my experience.
A first timer
I've used the fryer 4 times and it's a learning experience. I found this item to be well worth the money although I've never owned one and have nothing to compare it to. Digital display and timer are very nice. Everthing I've fried so far has come out good. I think I'm going to purchase a fryer book to get the most out of it.

Great for the money.
We are very happy with our Presto Deep Fryer. We have had other fryers in the past and none of them have been as good as this. Our only issue we have is the length of time it takes to heat (about 12 min from room temp to 325) and that is why it does not get 5 stars.
