DOA, Whynter service not bad, Amazon excellent
This ice cream maker has lots of plastic, as the pictures show, but does have some heft, leading me to believe that the cooling function is strong. Unfortunately, the churn motor arrived with broken plastic. I explained this to Whynter in an email, and received a response telling me how to properly mount the motor. The Whytner SNO Ice Cream Maker arrived and I had it going in 45 minutes - 40 to cook the frozen vanilla custard and 5 to wash, assemble and dump the custard into freezing chamber and switch the unit on. 45 minutes later, I was eating a great vanilla frozen custard! Whynter SNO IC Maker
After reading other reviews, it was decided to purchase this Whynter Ice Cream Maker. Four batches of Ice Cream later, this was definetly the right choice. Very simple to use and absolutely GREAT ice cream. Easy to clean too. Recipies were from Ben & Jerry's Recipies also purchased on Amazon.com.
