Love My New Rice Cooker!
I absolutely love this rice cooker. In terms of functionality and form, it is light years ahead of the Aroma Rice Cooker which I purchased at Target a few years ago for about $25. The Aroma worked adequately, though if I left it on for more than a half hour or so, the bottom of the rice got very crispy. This Sanyo ECJ-F50S rice cooker is fantastic. So easy to use and clean!
I never ate so much rice before! I make at least 2 cups for my daughter and me every day. Previously I thought the microwave rice maker I had was great and made fine rice, but this is great. I usually make the medium grain (sticky) rice and it is wonderful. Much easier to clean than the microwave maker and much easier to use because there is no guessing. Just use the cup to measure the rice, rinse the rice (I think it tastes better), put in water up to the line and turn it on. Sometimes I do ...

I really like it!
I bought the 5.5 rice cooker first but after only abt 4 uses I made the mistake of putting water and rice in the machine WITHOUT the insert...but when I sent it for repair I did a SMART thing and insured it for shipping. It arrived at the repair shop damaged in transit, so when I received my refund I bought this one instead, based on more research.
This one is better, it has a thicker insert, it's a little smaller, it has the vent thing on top so I don't have to clean a wet interior rubbe...
