programmable timer
I have had this crock pot for several years, and until two weeks ago, loved it. Yes, I had burned some pulled pork, never thought that it was the crockpot's fault, had dried out some chili, again, thought it was me, had some food stick thinking they all do that. Two weeks ago the timer went haywire. True to form, I thought I did something wrong to accidentally turn it off. But today, after checking it five or six times thru the morning, and each time it had turned itself off, I am in the mar...

Way too hot!
I recently got this cooker at Costco, and have made 3 dinners with it.
The liquid began to BOIL within 2 hours on every occasion, and that was on the lowest setting possible. The unit was very hot, would burn your hand if you inadvertantly touched it - not good if kids are around! Also, the counter underneath the cooker was so hot that I was afraid that it would be damaged and had to place the unit on a wooden cutting board.
I will be returning it pronto. Skip this cooker and try anoth...

When good products go bad!
I own 5 crock pots and I love them all, except for this one! Rival has been making crock pots since like the Dawn of Time (or at least the Dawn of Crock Pots) so you'd think they'd know what they are doing by now but somebody really dropped the ball on this one.
First of all, it has 3 legs and a big heavy control panel on the front so it is very unstable. All my other crock pots, you can slide/push them on a smooth counter top and I've never had one tip over on me. This one can't even ...
