Loved the look and rating on the All Clad cooker, but at $179...way too much for a slow cooker. I have cooked three dishes so far, and all have turned out wonderfully, whether cooking on high or low settings. 01 May 2009 lid problem CrockPot SCVT650-PS eLume 6-1/2-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker, Stainless Steel

Received a couple of weeks ago but haven't used yet because of what I think is a design problem with the lid. There is a drilled hole in the glass under the handle that in washing, allowed soapy water to collect and be trapped in the space between the top of the lid and the handle. I called the crockpot company to inquire, thinking that some sort of plug was missing and was told that's the way it's supposed to... –Ella Minnow Peafrom Amazon.com
19 Jan 2009 Good, but.... I received this product for Christmas after I spent several hours online reading reviews of many different kinds of 'Crockpots'. I eventually decided on this one after I called the manufacturer requesting further information. There have been no recalls and not one request had been placed for a replacement crock because of cracking.
