Best kitchen gadget purchase ever made
I actually bought this opener from Ross, TJ MAxx or Marshalls a few years ago. I LOVE IT. When my 70+ year old mother comes to visit she always asks me to try and find her one. Finally I sat down and searched the internet to order her one. I am very surprised with the negative reviews...maybe I lucked up and bought one from a perfect production batch. My advise to anyone is to at least try it, if it breaks, buy another one, if that breaks maybe 3rd time will be a charm. I can only hope mine last...

great can opener
I have arthritis and carpel tunnel syndrome, so the motion of a regular can opener is very difficult for me. The electrics break in short order and take up counter space. This has been perfect = no hand stress, it takes up little drawer space and goes in the dishwasher. I don't understand the negative reviews, unless those people got defective openers. I am getting one for my 89 year old mother. But I think you could appreciate this even if you had no hand issues. It just makes sense.

TOTALLY FRUSTRATING!
I was able to open a few cans, and that was it. It was cool when it worked, but after a week, I am out the money and have a worthless hunk of plastic in my kitchen! This is a completely frustrating gadget that is way more trouble than it is worth. I want to throw it off the roof. I never cared much about a can opener, but I hate this one!
