19 Apr 2009 They don't make em like they used to This is the third toaster I have purchased in the last 12 months. I'm getting ready to send it to the Goodwill and purchase a fourth. I like my toast fast, brown and not all dried out. This toaster takes at least 3 minutes and two tries on the darkest setting to get the toast brown and by that time, the toast is as dry as dust. My father suggested I check the wattage on the toaster - it is 850W. He checked his older, less expensive and better-performing Kenmore, two-slice toaster and discov... –Cathyfrom Amazon.com
06 Apr 2009 good toaster Toaster performs as expected. I love the bagle toasting, which toasts the cut sides and warms the back sides. It works well. The toast comes out perfect, once you get the settings adjusted, but that's a trial and error system. The thickness of the bread certainly affects the speed of toasting, but that's the case with most toasters. Overall, I am happy with this KitcheAid digital toaster. –David W. Richterfrom Amazon.com
