Does the job . . .
I love this spoon so much I bought two. Carpel Tunnel is not an issue when holding this grip. "Hunky," seems the best adjective to describe how it feels in your hand. The length is 13 inches (with bowl) long enough to fit into a large stew pot and the 4 1/2 inch bowl scoops out about 1/2 a cup of food. I'm impressed, and I plan to buy the matching utensils.

Oxo is not 18/10
This replaces my worn metal basting spoon. This spoon is so much better. I broke it in by using it to stir 2 lbs of bread dough and it surpassed my expectations. The large size and sturdiness made stirring the flour and liquid into dough incredibly easy. I noticed the lack of discomfort due to the soft padding on the underside of the upper handle. I'm glad I bought this. I gulped at the large size when I pulled it out of the carton but now I'm perfectly satisfied with this item.
