Love this teapot!
This teapot is great. It is the perfect size, and it has a pleasant --- rather than shrill --- whistle. I got it to replace an old model stainless Farberware whistling teapot that I loved for 18 years. What's more, this new teapot matches the new fixtures in my kitchen. As has been stated in other reviews, the functional design of the base allows the teapot to be efficient in boiling water, and the design of the handle eliminates the need for a pot holder....

WORKS WELL, SERVES ITS PURPOSE
I drink a lot of tea & shopped quite a long time before buying. This one really fits the bill. It's well built, not thin or flimsy and it heats quickly. I really like its large size. I usually fill it about 3/4 full and find that the water stays hot in the kettle for a long time ... no reheating for that 2nd cup 30 minutes later. It's sturdy & the handle is quite ergonomically functional.. sits high which gives the pot good balance when pouring. Like many others, I like the whistl...
