14 Apr 2009 disappointed I purchased this tea kettle in replacement of one that I had of the same brand. Less than one month after receiving the kettle it developed small chips in the outside bottom. I mailed it back to Amazon last week and am awaiting a refund. I was very disappointed that it was defective.
I had one of these same tea kettles for several years and never had any problem with it. The reason I had to replace it was because my boyfriend put it on the stove, forgot it and it exploded.... –Carol Myersfrom Amazon.com
23 Mar 2009 Better looking than the picture, pretty big I bought this tea kettle b/c I started tasting plastic from the water boiled in my old electric tea kettle. I have to say, it is better looking than the picture, and holds quite a bit of water, enough for several big cups of tea. Although the water takes a lot longer to boil than the electric kettle, I expected that. What I didn't like was the fact that the bamboo handle did not come pre-assembled, but I had to do it myself with pliers. Kind of a pain... Overall it's a three-star product. –E. Leefrom Amazon.com
08 Mar 2009 Just What I Needed Perfect for cooking loose Chinese herbs, I think. I've tried the traditional herb cooking pots (not sure about their purity though), Pyrex coffee pots, and Visions pots, but this attractive pot with the non-reactive surface is the best thing I've found.
