It is smaller than I had imagined, so it's not practical if you like to heat large quantities of water - mostly good for a nice pot of tea or a modest-sized French press. 29 Mar 2007 The Problem Is Me This tea kettle is as wonderful as everybody says it is. Unfortunately, I unintentionally fell asleep while heating water in mine and it was ruined when I woke up. I have ruined (including today) all but one pot I own by getting busy on my computer and forgetting water is on the stove or by falling asleep. I would love to have this tea kettle with a train whistle. I couldn't hear it over my central air conditioning when it came on, but I am closer to the air conditioner than to the kitchen. 18 Mar 2007 Very Satisfied I love this tea pot. I have been using it for about 2 months now. It is innovative and user friendly. What's so great about this pot is the fact that the handle automatically opens the spout when you take it off the stove, which makes it incredibly easy to pour your cup of tea without messing with levers and whatnot. The handle never gets hot to the touch either, which is important. It has a nice whistle to it, which starts out slow and builds to a full whistle when it's ready.
