Great press, but
After breaking my fourth Bodum glass coffee press, I decided that's it! I broke down and bought the cheapest non-breakable I could find. The thermos feature is a huge selling point. You can actually have a "warm-up" later as opposed to a lukewarm poor from the glass press. Only complaint is the FILTER. The filter allowed more grounds and detritus through. Easily fixed by replacing the new filter with the old one from the now defunct glass press. (Look closely and you can see the difference in th...

Stainless Steel Press
I finally decided that I must purchase a steel press because I managed to accidentally break two glass presses. So, after searching for a while, I stumbled across this Nissan steel press, and, overall, I am fairly satisfied with it.
I only have a few complaints. First of all, it is a fairly large press; and, since I only use it for myself, I think I could have used a slightly smaller sized press. Also, with the steel press there is really no way to measure the amount of water that is goi...

Adequate, but not revolutionary.
We purchased this French press to replace one that had started letting too many grounds through. As we looked at possible replacements, we thought this was a chance to solve the problem of the coffee going cold too fast (before you're ready for the next cup). This model does a better job of keeping the coffee warm, but it still cools faster than one would wish. Given how well Thermos flasks work, it's surprising that this product doesn't do a better job of keeping the coffee hot. Presumably it h...
