I am very happy with the scale. It does set to zero. I use it to measure raw meat for my dogs and it has worked perfectly. I have no problems with it....

Great Scale
I use this scale to wiegh out meat for smoking. I need to have the meat close to the same weight so I can pull the meat near the same time. This scale is perfect for that. I just put a pc of wax paper on the tray and everything stays clean.
Handy Dandy Scale
This has been a wonderful gadget. I don't use it in the kitchen, I use it for weighing small packages when mailing items. It is accurate and easily adjustable if you need to take off the top tray to use.
