21 Jan 2008 Decent Machine - Used in Restaurant... I have used a 1270e in one of my restaurants for 2 1/2 years now, and it continues to chug through. We do not fax a lot, but we send copies of the menu to folks, and we receive faxed in orders, so they both need to be readable.

Yes, I dislike the old ribbon roll that it uses for ink, but they can be found cheaply enough, plus we usually flip the cardboard rolls around, cut the notches in the end so they will fit backwards (instead of trying to re-roll them), and reuse them, thus saving m... –Scott M. Portisfrom Amazon.com
28 Jun 2007 Another fax with sending problems I have only used this fax for about 2 months and it does a terrible job sending. I don't fax a lot, maybe 2-10 pages per day. It always jams and has trouble feeding my faxes through, irritating!! –D. Finleyfrom Amazon.com

I told my friend about the price, he gave me a check for me to go ahead and buy the item since he does not have a computer. When I came home to purchase it, the price was WAY UP to $89 ???
