No ink cartridges needed.
Works well with manual answering machine.
Small footprint.
Has speakerphone, caller ID, speed dial, redial, makes copies and more.

19 May 2008 Cannot send faxes or make copies This is a cheesy machine. The very first fax we tried to send resulted in black pages sent to our receiver.

Making a copy gave us the same results. Stay away from this fax! –avidinternetfrom Amazon.com
20 Jan 2007 Back to Basics, and the better for it This fax/telephone is simplicity itself. It is great for light-duty, infrequent faxing -- exactly what I need for a home machine. No ink-jets to dry out if it stands inactive for a while. It is also extremely light weight. It's a pity that it has been discontinued. I'm buying a second one to have as a backup machine -- I hate the new, 10-ton wonders that have a million complicated functions I don't need. I hope some smart manufacturer -- perhaps Brother themselves -- will put it back into produc... –Not Quite a Ludditefrom Amazon.com
