Another positive experience to report
After years of using (and quickly outgrowing) waist- and chest-high media shelving, I finally broke down and bought two of these guys, set them up quickly, and now have half a wall dedicated to CDs. They were really easy to put together, and even in the case of one of them, where I mistakenly put in one piece a little crookedly, when I tightened everything up and loaded it up with CDs, it all evened out. I couldn't ask for a better inexpensive solution to storing a ton of media....

Well, maybe 4 1/2 stars
Now that it's all put together, I like this storage shelf a lot. It looks good, and is able to hold my CD collection of something like 500 CDs (I don't remember buying all those CDs!!!), a smaller number of DVDs, and a few VHS tapes. As other customers have commented, the back panel is pretty cheesy, and I had to do some repair with duct tape on the back side (where it doesn't show). Also as other customers have commented, when you turn it over to nail on the back panel, you REALLY DO have to...

Went together easily, seems pretty solid
This cabinet went together pretty quickly/easily and actually seems pretty solid. I would definitely recommend that you put a few books underneath the shelf while putting on the backing; otherwise you end up putting a lot of stress on the bottom lip of the cabinet. Looks great in my living room; now I just need to buy some movies/games/cds to finish filling the thing up!
