Does what I need it to do
A scissors sharpener that sharpens scissors...compact, inexpensive, straightforward, does what I need it to do. I am an avid sewer and needed to sharpen several pairs of scissors on a pretty regular basis, from my cheap paper scissors to small thread nippers to hefty leather shears. I am pleased to say that after several swipes the paper scissors were as good as new, and after about a dozen swipes the leather shears were sharp enough to slice open a finger...as they should be, I suppose!

The fact that this is set to only sharpen one angle is not clearly represented in it's presentation for sale. If you decide to buy it make sure your scissors have the correct angle or else it's useless as is the one I bought.

Simple But Sharpens Perfectly
While I've owned many scissors over the years, I never thought to try sharpening them. What a difference this tool makes! It's quick and easy to use. I plan on buying these as stocking stuffer gifts. It's the perfect kind of gift for the people on my list who have everything. My only concern is that the plastic housing feels a little flimsy, but that may not be an issue as it won't be getting heavy use.
