Sea Monkeys are for young and old
We gave this Sea Monkey kit to our grandson who is in kindergarten (age 6). Kids of this age appear to be greatly interested in animals and this is one that they can handle with adult supervision, which is very important in getting it set up. The child can do the maintenance work such as introducing oxygen into the small tank (by stirring) and also the occasional feeding that is necessary once or so per week, as indicated in the instructions. We Love Them!
My daughter received a set of Sea Monkeys for Christmas and they are huge and still doing great - and I forget about them a lot! We feed them about 1x week (when we remember) and I have never done anything else. We actually have babies swimming around now!
