LOVE THIS PHONE
This phone is great. Love the phone book and have stored all of my most called numbers and then some. Love the fact that it is a safe phone and not like the cordless phones that most people use. Everyone should do research and find out about all of the negative reasons not to have cordless phones in your home. 
Panasonic corded phone
The phone seems to be a good one but its main drawback is the visual message panel that is nearly impossible to read because it is so dim. It has levels of adjustment but even on the brightest setting it can hardly be read. So much for caller ID etc.

Until now I have always used stand-alone answering machines but all had voice problems, so I decided to try a phone with built-in answering system to see if that would help. This Panasonic model had the best reviews. Set-up was not difficult and all features work as stated. It is easy to use and I did get the improvement in sound quality I desired, especially well tested when picking up messages from a remote location, including 9 time zones away.
