Poor Clarity
Bought this phone for it's amplification for a hard of hearing person. It is great in that respect but there is significant hiss in the background no matter where it's plugged in in the house. No other phone has this issue so I think it's the phone. My hearing is ok so I find it very annoying and don't use the phone. The tone change button does not appear to make any difference in tone that I can hear....

I've waited a long time for a phone like this one.
Having been hearing impaired since childhood, I'm glad that technology has finally acknowledged the needs of the hearing impaired. The amplified phones of the past don't hold a candle to the Clarity C4210. After carefully reading the manual, I found that all the problems mentioned in the previous reviews are addressed... if only people would take the time to understand this phone's functions.
Disappointed
I am moderately hearing impaired and frequently have difficulty hearing on the telepone. This Clarity phone seemed perfect for me, especially since it was supposed to work well with hearing aid tele-coils. It's okay, but the sound isn't as clear as I'd hoped, particularly the sound "boost" button. It's loud enough, just not clear enough.
