Perfect for what I needed
I wanted to use this in conjunction with an enclosing tv cabinet so needed a mount for my 50" plasma tv that was sturdy and would colapse close to the wall. As it was going onto a wall near a corner it needed to also have a lot of flexibility with angling. This mount works perfectly. It is only about four inches from the wall to the back of the tv and allows the mount and tv to colapse iside the 9 inch depth cabinet. Fantastic mount
I bought this mount after a couple of hours of Internet research. It came down to a choice between this one (Sanus VMDD26) and one from monoprice.com, which costs significantly less. I just wasn't convinced that that the monoprice mount would have the same quality and ease of movement as the Sanus, so I went with the Sanus mount. And wow!
