This set rocks!
Can't say enough about Samsung, while doing comparisons in the Fall of 2008 Samsung had the edge on all other brands. I put a fence around mine to keep the kids away. The size is truly all you need too many people are buying sets that are too large for thier space and just a burden on the pocketbook. Be realistic and buy quality over quantity like I did.

We have several LCD TVs and by far the Samsung has the clearest picture. We selected this model because of its unique size for a 40-inch TV that fit perfectly in our space.

Beautiful image quality, lacking on functionality
After conducting exhaustive research for my new 1080p TV to watch Blu-Rays on, I found the 630 to be the best value for money out there (as of feb-2009). Image quality is every bit as good as others say, DVDs look crisp and bright. The 630 series has the semi-matte finish which works great for me because the room is brightly lit and would be impossible to watch on the reflective screens on the 650 series and the like.
