get the new samsung
I bought this tv and returned it a week later. the hd wasnt that good on att digital cable and when you watch movies the picture gets really dark in dark seens. you can download a program that will fix it or sony will send you a fix to the problem but i returned it and bought the samsung ln40b550 and all together it is a much better tv and costs less. much happier with this tv...

Flawed Feature
My girlfriend bought this TV because of Sony's brand name reputation. It's a nice TV except it has this feature called auto-dimming. During dark scenes, the TV dims the screen (presumably to preserve the longevity of the screen). Unfortunately, this feature makes it impossible to see dark images.
