Tube TVs (also CRT, Direct-View) televisions are the familiar traditional televisions that use cathode-ray tubes for their displays. Low in price, these tvs have have good picture quality when viewed from any angle, especially in the depth of their darker colors.
New developments in direct-view tvs include flat and wide screen, as well as HDTV enabled sets. Tube TVS are readily available, require no special installation, and are now available in larger sizes at a bargain price.
