Outstanding Performance
As a do it yourself boat owner and homeowner, I have the pleasure of spending many hours with many buffers, polishers, and sanders. This Ridgid Orbital sander is one of the best I have every used, it is quiet, efficient, and the dust collector even works better than any sander I have used. I am very please with my purchase after two hours of use....

Poor Design
Not a bad little sander for the price. I have two. The problem I have is the location of the power switch, very easy to accidently turn it off.

I like it!
I bought mine new at Home Depot and have had lots of great service from it. Another reviewer stated that it bogged down to easily; not so. Random orbital sanders are not intended to be used like grinders. With MODERATE pressure and the right grade sand paper for the job this sander will remove, level, and finish sand a lot of surfaces quickly and efficiently. It is also very quiet and has a good heft and feel compared to many other sanders. I especially like that I can hook the sander direc...
