I have had a makita 9.6 volt impact driver for five years and it is my favorite tool. I am involved in home construction and remodeling and use it all the time. I use a lot of deck screws to reduce the shock to surrounding walls in remodeling and the driver will send them through double 2x4's if you keep the trigger down. When I built a computer room for my daughter she loved it. I am ordering this one for her. GREAT TOOL!...

This is truely my most used power tool both at work and home. At work I use it for driving tech screws in light and heavy gauge sheet metal and at home I use it for carpentry and general home improvement. My father who builds cabinet had his reservations about using a power screw driver based on his results using a cordless drill (over tightening/stripping.)
