A jig saw worth considering I didn't buy this saw from Amazon, but I see they sell items from the company I used. It's made in China, but it seems to be well constructed. I chose it because of the method it uses to change the blades. I think the screwdriver system used to loosen or tighten the blade has to be more sturdy and reliable over a period time than the ones that use plastic parts to tighten the blade into position even though they require no tool. I don't find using the screwdriver unhandy at all. And it's so qu... –J. Traxlerfrom Amazon.com

The secret is the blades and Bosch now makes the blades available for different manufacturer jig and saber saws.

Let me say there has never been any piece of wood or board this thing hasn't been able to rip through, I've even cut down mid size tree and the stump with the rough wood blade.

You should read this. Let me start off by saying that this Bosch Jig Saw is by far the finest jig saw I could ever imagine using. It is super well built, does the job perfectly, and is a dream to use. The features are incredible. After using a couple of different cheapies, I feel like I want to put this tool behind polished glass, and just look at it. Now on to the important considerations when buying a Bosch Jig Saw.
