Adapts the Fein Vacs to Festool Tools
Don't be oversold on the hyped superiority of Festool vacs for their tools. While they are excellent vacs (I own one in addition to a Fein Turbo II) with tons of features, strictly from a vacuuming standpoint they don't offer any better performance than the Fein - and that includes any supposed advantage of the Festool vac's variable speed.
Buy It; You're Going to Need It
I had the foresight to buy this adapter when I bought the Turbo II. Good move. Fein's 1 1/4" hose fits hardly anything, so you're going to have to adapt. This adapter is better than most - solid rubber without being too rigid. Stays where it is put. If you have a lot of tools, you might want to get a few.

Best Vacuum Adapter . . . Ever
Every other vacuum adapter I've tried doesn't "quite fit" the tools I'm trying to hook to my shop vac. The Fein Step Adaptor is made of a soft rubber that is not only stepped to reasonably useful sizes, but that also stretches to fit when the step you've cut it off at is just a tad small. Great gadget. The down side? Pricey!
