Pricey, disposable
It worked well for both cutting and brazing, but I got a little too close to the work at one point and burned the supplied screw-on tip. I searched around and was unable to find a replacement. I evetually contacted Bernzomatic and was told that there are NO replacement parts available for this item!
More heat than propane, less functinoal than oxyacetylene
This outfit is "just okay". I got it to solder copper pipe to large brass fittings and for that purpose it's fine. As compared to a proper oxyacetylene outfit, however, it comes up lacking. Although the packaging says it's suitable for cutting it only comes with a welding/brazing type head. Without the extra oxygen boost of a cutting head you'd be hard pressed to do serious cutting.| elapsed time: | 51.9ms |
