Heavy, solid clamps
I bought a pair of these clamps and found them extremely helpful when welding up a 1 1/2" square tube aquarium stand. Heavy and solid, these clamps hold the material together at right angles and are adjustable too. Clearly a quality product, and worth the cost....

Definitely a must for 90 degree welds
Forget trying to clamp joints to a piece of angle iron and getting mixed results. Though it's a bit pricey, this clamp is worth every penny. The throat is deep enough to handle larger stock, and swivels so joining different size pieces isn't an issue. Very sturdy cast base, and the copper clad forcing screw resists getting fouled by slag and spatter. There are built in oiling ports for the swivel points and screw.
