Stick with this red version.
I almost got the white version, to have something different than just red pumpers, then I did a little research. The white version has red wheels and that just didn't look right to me. After going through dozens of photos of real fire engines, old and new, I found that the wheels generally matched the body color, or were a metal color such as chrome. I did not see any white fire engines with red wheels! Also, the hood opens to display the white painted engine; a WHITE powerplant? Unlikely! ...

Yat Ming- 1935 Mack 75BX Fire Pumper
This is a 1:24 scale fire truck built in diecast and plastic with exquisite detail (as is true of all Yat Ming models). This is the appropriate scale for use in G-Scale train dioramas, which is the purpose for which this was bought. They typically retail in various fire engine models in the $70 to $80 price range. At the Amazon price of under $40, and with free shipping, they are an excellent buy for the enthusiast and collector.

Grandpa loves it!
We got this for our grandpa, who is a collector. He admired the details that many of his other vehicles lacked. We are not familiar with Scale 1:24 cars but even we could appreciate the details.
