Good for learning and training
I bought the tabletop checkers and chess computer King Master III. In my judgement it plays chess at about 1500 Elo, but its checkers program is stronger. It's good training for the average checkers club player, I believe. In checkers, it makes only one theoretical move towards the centre, then it starts to think.
