Great Product for the Price
Our god-children love this gift. If you are planning to give it to your child assembled, be sure to have it arrive about one week in advance because it is tricky to assemble and the directions are somewhat vague. Also, real rubber tires would be better than the plastic ones that are on it, as it slides easily going uphill on asphalt or on wet grass. But it is a great gift and the boys have gotten hours of fun out of it!

Too much plastic
I was disappointed, though my grandson(s) is delighted. We'll see how long his delight lasts. This John Deere tractor is made of plastic, with a few metal rods. It was challenging to assemble, as the directions were not clear. The gears only move one wheel, and are not connected to the second rear wheel.
Very nearly ideal - spoilt by construction quality
I bought this for a strong 4 year old with a fairly tough 2.5 year old usually in tow. In terms of sheer play value this toy is superb. Their eyes went like little saucers when they saw it.
