fun but not musical
This toy was in great demand by the preschoolers present. They really loved pushing the balls down and hearing the chimes. It has great play value, but we were disappointed with the chimes, they were not chromatic, 2 of the chimes had the same tone. I'm sure the children didn't mind but the educational value would be much greater it went up the scale....

He never gets bored
Bought this for my son when he was about 7 months and now that he's more than 16 months, he still plays with it. I cannot find the balls it came with or the hammer as a matter of fact, but he still bangs on it with his hands and fingers and the sound is still good. He absolutely loves it and never gets bored.

Good toy for young children
This toy is not musical at all, and only has six notes, but it is a good introduction for babies, because they can whap the keys with their hands and make noise. The three balls are challenging in that they just barely fit through their holes, so your child can either push them through manually or practice pounding skills with the included hammer. My son, when he was 7 or 8 months, would actually pry the balls up from their resting places in the holes, instead of pushing them through, but a fe...
