Not for serious crossword fans but good for kids.
This game is fun, but seemed to be aimed more at kids. I was disappointed to find I had to spend hours going through extremely simple crosswords (4x4 grids with up to 3rd grade words) in order to finally get to any I really enjoyed.
The bonus of Wordsearch and Anagrams was nice though. The Wordsearch can be a bit annoying though because the letters are small and you cannot see the whole board at once, meaning you have to scroll around and often loose track of where you were searching.

50 yr. old DS junkie
I love my DS. I play it each night to wind down while in bed but love a challenge even then. I bought the New York Times Crossword game for the DS and it's hard. I wanted something that isn't as serious and hard. This is the game. It has easy, med., hard. and extremely hard crosswords, although I haven't gotten to that hardest one yet. It also has WORD FINDS and ANAGRAMS. All are top notch and not cheesy.
This is a great game for the people who like word games.

Fun sometimes
I'll break this down a bit. I love the wordsearch. It's great and I just think I could play it all day. The anagrams one sucks. There seems to be words that I have never heard of that exist that I can never figure out. The crosswords is fun at times but when I try to use the pointer to draw the letters I have really good handwriting and still from time to time it is saying I drew a letter that I clearly did not. So those are the only bugs I have with it. But overall it's a keeper!

Crosswords DS
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- Crosswords DS (also known as CrossworDS) is a puzzle video game by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld video game console. It was first released in North America, and has since been released in Australia. Crosswords DS features over 1,000 crossword puzzles that the player solves by using the stylus. Despite the title, it also features word search puzzles and anagram puzzles. It makes use of similar handwriting mechanics that the Brain Age titles make use of. Crosswords DS is included in the Touch! Generations series of titles, which includes such popular games as Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! and Nintendogs. The background music was composed by Fabian Del Priore.
