Works just like the original.
We ordered this items after our Roomba vacuum chewed up the wire on the orginal. Works just like the original wii bar. Same sensitivity and range, so we're happy with it!

Wii Wired SenseBar is Ok
I really enjoy having this wii wired senser bar. Although, the performance isn't very good at distance sensing. If you are sitting about 6 feet away, it works great. but if you are sitting approximately 10 feet away, then it kind of has problems sensing the wii control. Overall, I think that this senser bar is just ok.
