Microsoft's Xbox 360 is the second-most-popular of the seventh-generation game consoles, behind the perennially-sold-out Wii. Aimed at hard-core gamers, it features cutting-edge graphics and fast hardware, for more-realistic graphics and smoother gameplay. The Xbox 360 offers a wide variety of popular games, from first-person shooters to action and adventure to puzzle-based games. Some games are exclusive to the Xbox 360.

The Xbox360 console comes in several flavors, which differ in their hard drive space, accessories, and other features. Wikipedia has a nice chart comparing Xbox 360 versions.

Also available to Xbox 360 users is the Xbox Live subscription service, which lets gamers play against each other online. Most Xbox 360s come with a free trial of Xbox Live.
