@howmuchis: Find the best price fast over Twitter

The Twitter bot @howmuchis is a price comparison bot that searches for the lowest online prices on TVs, digital cameras, and millions of other products. It grabs the latest pricing from the StreetPrices database, and tweets you back the three lowest prices. This lets you check prices from anywhere, so you can get the best deal on your purchases.

We track over 20 million products at over 150 online merchants. Our information is updated continuously to bring you the freshest prices from all over the web.

How it works: Log in to your Twitter account. Go to the @howmuchis page,

...and hit the Follow button.*

Then, a tweet like

@howmuchis nikon d40

...will get you a quick reply for the Nikon D40:

The first tweet is in two parts. The first part includes the product name and a link to the product's page on StreetPrices. Follow that first link to see product information, with graphs, price alerts, reviews, and a full listing of merchants.

The first tweet also includes information about the low-price seller: the price of the item, the seller's name, their rating on StreetPrices, and a link to the seller.

The second tweet includes information about two more low-price sellers. Follow a seller's link to see the product on their website.

Tip: @howmuchis expects to price out a single, specific item, so it works best if you send it either a make + model (Nikon 40D, Canon 2756B003) or a UPC.
